The idea for GIFT HORSE BASKETS was born of a couple of loves…that of caring for our horses and of a desire to create a family-centered lifestyle here in the heart of Virginia’s hunt country.
Our goal is to produce a selection of unique specialty gift collections tailored to the equestrian enthusiast, containing the best products available in the marketplace, handsomely packaged and shipped for our customers’ pleasure and delight. We are continually researching, testing and refining our offerings, using our combined years of horse-owning, riding and showing experience to aid in selection of the products that horse people truly need and which really work the best, or are simply too wonderful to resist!
We take pleasure in including surprise promotional items in our Gift Horse Baskets. These are not listed in the content lists of the collection and if shown in the photo may change subject to availability.

How far in advance do I need to order?
Orders received online are shipped within 2 to 3 business days. On occasion, such as holiday rush times, additional time may be required. You can order as far in advance of a desired delivery date as you want, the sooner the better. Call us at (866) 843-0510 to place advance orders. If you don’t reach us please leave a voice mail and we will return your call as soon as we are able. We sometimes offer discounts on large quantity advance orders. Be sure to ask when you call.
How do I request a catalog?
Sorry, we don’t have a catalog; we do have a PDF basket item menu online. By not printing a catalog, using recycled packing materials, and using gift containers that can be repurposed when empty, we hope to do our small part to minimize our ecological footprint.
I’m really, really busy. Can I just call and tell you how much I want to spend and let you take it from there?
Absolutely! Much like you would with a florist, just call and give us a budget and color request, and we will put together the most appropriate and most beautiful basket possible within that budget.
Many of our baskets offer you a choice of colors. If no color is chosen, we reserve the right to coordinate the colors in your basket. What is your return policy?
Unopened baskets, in original, good condition may be returned for a full refund minus a 20% restocking fee. Delivery and shipping fees are NOT refundable. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. Custom or personalized products are NOT eligible for returns or refunds.
Can I cancel an order after it has been submitted?

Any change or cancellation must be done within 24 hours from the time the order was placed and can only be done if the order has not yet been processed and shipped out.

We need your email address in order to communicate information about your internet orders. We will use your email address only when we are confirming your order, notifying you of updates to the website, or keeping you informed about seasonal offerings and specials.

Do you charge for shipping?

What if my order gets damaged during shipping?
We take great care packing your order to ensure it arrives just as we packaged it. That said, if your gift arrives damaged, please report any damaged deliveries to us immediately so that we may file a claim with the carrier. Be sure to keep all the packaging as well as the damaged goods as the carrier may require them to ensure a replacement. We want your experience with Gift Horse Baskets to be a good one and will make every effort to replace damaged goods and ensure your satisfaction.
Can you ship to Canada and outside the United States?
Yes we can ship to Canada by USPS at the buyers’ expense. We generally ship via FedEx ground or USPS throughout the contiguous United States. We can ship by USPS to P.O. boxes and can ship to addresses outside of the U.S. by special arrangement.

Sales tax is charged on gifts delivered to the state of Virginia. We are obligated by law to collect 5.3% sales tax for orders sent to states where we maintain a substantial business presence.

If your organization is exempt from sales tax, you will need to telephone us so we can set up a tax exempt account for you. We require that you fax us a federal Virginia tax exempt certificate.
Do you design custom baskets?
Absolutely, we can tailor baskets to your specifications. We also do custom horse show prize premiums, sponsor gifts, and camper tool kits. We can arrange for brass engraved plates and custom embroidery. We can work directly with you to insure that deadlines coordinate. Can I send a personalized message with my gift baskets?
Absolutely! Your baskets will all arrive with your free gift card, which is included with each gift. You will be asked to compose your message during the checkout process.
What is your product substitution policy?
In the rare case that an item is out of stock we will replace it with an item of equal or greater value. Chocolate in certain gifts may be replaced by less perishable items during the summer months, when necessary.
